Robert Scardapane, Published in The Courier-News on August 17, 2005 New Jersey needs an ethical leader such as Sen. Jon S. Corzine for governor. While the Darfur genocide was taking place, many senators were content to sit on the sidelines. But, Corzine had the courage to introduce the Darfur Accountability Act of 2005 that sanctions the people involved in these crimes against humanity.
Corzine has the right stuff to take on unethical pay-to-play politics. He will end the corrupt single-bid and no-bid contracts given as rewards for political contributions. This is not only morally correct but also will save the taxpayer millions on these inflated contracts. Just one more reason to support Corzine for governor in 2005.
