"It has been one year since President Barack Obama’s inauguration. His brief tenure in the White House has sparked praise along with stark criticism, some of which was warranted, however others have been absurd and baseless. Recently, we have been witnessing “referendums” to the Obama administration with the outcomes of elections such as those in Massachusetts and New Jersey. In response, pundits have readily been claiming that a “new revolution” is at hand. Political accomplishments aside, if the Obama administration has done something recently, it has supplied ample fodder for the partisan pundits, from the likes of Glenn Beck to even some of my peers at the University. In a recent opinion editorial in The Daily Targum, 'Obama leaves questions unanswered,' swipes were made against our standing president, some of which were unfair and with skewed rhetoric. These include the claims that American 'money and freedom were stripped' because of failures in the financial reform and health care and 'liberal property taxes [were driving] people from their homes.'"
