WHAT AMAZES me most about Bush supporters is that no matter how bad his policies have been in Iraq and at home, they choose to live in a state of denial. When, in "Misjudging Laura Bush," 28), Kenneth Carchidi tells us he is "afraid of the future leadership of this country, militarily and economically" and in a same breath cannot digest any criticism of Bush and Co. on the Iraq war and Katrina, I have a hard time taking him seriously.
"This country" sent a clear message to the president in the recent elections. So, to answer Mr. Carchidi's question, "What will the Democrats point to when they themselves have little or no success at something?," I say that it will take a long time to repair the damages done by the Bush administration.
Cool it, and accept the fact.
