"So far more than 20,000 absentee ballots have been requested, said county clerk Elaine M. Flynn, who said she has never seen such a heavy turnout before Election Day. "As the deadline for mailing the ballots has passed, walk-ins are on the rise. Over 150 people filed in yesterday at the county clerk's office. "Rebecca Rathmill, 34, of Milltown was one of them. "Rathmill, who is pregnant with her first child, is expecting the baby any day, and came out to vote because she "didn't want to regret missing it." "She said she voted for Obama."
