Lautenberg for Senate (Star-Ledger Editorial)

"We did not endorse U.S. Sen. Frank Lautenberg in the Democratic primary in June for reasons that persist even as we now endorse him as the best choice in the general election on Nov. 4.

"Essentially, we liked his opponent in the primary. That candidate lost, and when we compare Lautenberg with his Republican opponent in the general election, Dick Zimmer, we like Lautenberg better."
