The New York Times

To the Editor:

Re “The Politics of the Lapel, When It Comes to Obama” (news article, May 15):

If love and devotion to one’s country means wearing a flag pin, I question the criticism toward Senator Barack Obama, who does not always wear one, when no big deal is being made toward Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton and Senator John McCain, who also do not always bother to wear one.

But considering that to this day many people still think that Mr. Obama is Muslim, the hypocrisy when it comes to Mr. Obama is pure racism in disguise. Where is the patriotism of the mainstream American media in educating voters?
