I am extremely disappointed that the Home News published a slanted attack on Linda Stender. Tina Renna in a Be Counted column argues that Stender is corrupt simply because she held various political offices and draws a pension from each.
It's within reason to debate that the pension system needs reform. But, claiming that Stender is corrupt just because of the current design of the state pension system is absurd. By this logic, many politicians, both Democrat and Republican, would be deemed corrupt.
Tina Renna goes on to make unsubstantiated charges that Linda Stender's husband got no-bid contracts. Where's the evidence that ties Linda Stender to granting favors? |
