Time to retire Chris Smith; Vote for Carol Gay |

As a mother of three boys, as well as a military officer's wife, I am disgusted by Chris Smith's inability to advocate for children and military families.
I cannot believe that the members of the GOP-controlled Congress did not know about Rep. Mark Foley's wretched and perverted ways. He did a very bad of covering it up. Foley sat on the committee for missing and exploited children. Anyone who knew that is culpable.
Rep. Chris Smith, R-4th, has also voted time and time again against veterans. Recently, Smith has refused to expand access to the military's Tri-Care Health Insurance program to thousands of reservist and National Guard members, even though 20 percent of all reservists do not have health insurance and 40 percent of reservists aged 19 to 35 lack health coverage.
Please, it is time for a change. One-party rule has not worked out for us. Vote for Carol Gay, who does have children's and veterans' best interests at heart. Gay will fight for us here and does not have special interest groups telling her what to do.
